Weekend Seminar on the Financial Crisis and Its Social Consequences

On Saturday and Sunday, February 14 and 15 2009, we are organizing a seminar on the financial crisis from an international perspective. The seminar will take place at Folkets Hus. We have invited a group of London-based political activists and thinkers to present their views on the crisis and describe its social consequences as they unfold in London and Athens. The seminar will focus partly on the background of the crisis and the economic problems that have triggered this extensive systemic crisis, which is still unfolding. It will also present an overview of how the crisis is being experienced in various national contexts around the world.

The seminar will be held over two days:

Saturday, February 14, 2:00–6:00 PM:

The background of the financial crisis and developments over the past few years.

Sunday, February 15, 11:00 AM–4:00 PM:

The financial crisis from an international perspective, from Athens and London to Dubai and Shanghai

Finanskrise Socialkrise

Weekend Seminar om den financielle krise og dens sociale konsekvenser

Lørdag og søndag d. 14 og 15. februar planlægger vi et seminar om den financielle krise i et internationalt perspektiv. Seminaret skal foregå i Folkets Hus. Vi har inviteret en gruppe london baserede politiske aktivister og tænkere til at præsentere deres syn på krisen og beskrive dens sociale konsekvenserne som de udfolder sig i London og Athen. Seminaret skal dels fokusere på baggrunden for krisen og hvilke økonomiske problemer der har udløst denne omfattende systemkrise som stadig udvikler sig. Og dels vil seminaret præsentere en gennemgang af hvordan krisen bliver oplevet i forskellige nationale sammenhænge rundt om på jorden.

Seminaret bliver tilrettelagt over to dage:

Lørdag d. 14. februar kl. 14-18:

Søndag d. 15 februar kl. 11-16:

Den financielle krise i internationalt perspektiv fra Athen og London til Dubai og Shanghai
